Product and Technical Information
This auger comes in a Type 6 configuration and offers various cutting options, including DC/DF (Dirt Cutting/Double Flight), DC/SF (Dirt Cutting/Single Flight), and SC/SF (Soil Cutting/Single Flight), to suit different soil conditions and project requirements.
The Kelly boxes are custom-made to meet specific customer specifications, ensuring a perfect fit for the drilling equipment. The center shaft diameter options vary from 4 inches OD to 12 inches OD, with a solid shaft available for certain sizes.
For the flight component, thicknesses of 1 inch to 2 inches are available, and all flight ID is beveled to ensure better weld penetration. Additionally, laminate flight is standard on all augers with a diameter of 30 inches or larger, enhancing durability and performance.
Wear protection is a critical aspect of the auger’s design, and it includes wear pads measuring 2 inches by 3 inches by ½ inch (part number 39302) to extend the lifespan of the tool.
When it comes to wear items for different applications, the auger can be equipped with multi-purpose rock wear parts. The rock option includes a B47K19LK80-H tooth (part number 30182) and a 38mm Tri-holder (part number 32064), with an RP-4 Machined Pilot (part number 40285) to navigate rocky terrain.
For softer ground conditions, the dirt option features teeth such as the BFZ 113×70/D (part number 34241) for dirt and the BFZ 100×70/2 (part number 34172) for carbide, both of which use the same 38mm Tri-holder. The pilot for dirt applications is a 4-inch square JM 8-inch Dirt Pilot (part number 40260), designed to provide stability and accuracy during drilling operations.
Overall, the Jeffrey Machine Multi-Purpose Auger is a highly customizable and durable tool that can be tailored to meet the demands of various drilling projects, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in the field.
