CZM EK125 Drilling Rig

Base:

At the core of the EK125 is the new Cat 323 Next Gen, which is powered by a fuel-efficient Tier 4 Final C7.1 ACERT engine. This efficient power base is further enhanced by CAT Vision Link, which provides management with the capability to monitor machine operations and maintenance remotely, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime.

Undercarriage:

The EK125’s undercarriage is a Caterpillar variable model VH4830/3675/600, reinforced with an H style frame that provides a sturdy and reliable platform for the rig’s operations.

Mast:

A reinforced mast constructed from high resistance steel Weldox 700 gives the EK125 the durability needed to withstand the demands of various drilling projects.

Main Winch:

The main winch system is designed with a special groove to enhance cable life through improved winding. It includes a press-roller and features two gears for a balance of high speed and substantial pulling force. The winch operates with automatic gear shifting for smooth, high-production drilling and includes an automatic down-the-hole winch stop. During crowd operations, the winch operates freely, with both hydraulic and mechanical brakes for safety. The cabin’s display of hydraulic pulling force measurements keeps the operator fully informed.

Rotary:

The EK125’s rotary is engineered for resilience, with two slewing bearings at the top and bottom, and a sturdy pinion and main gear. It houses a group of Hydraulic Motor / Planetary Gears for exceptional torque and extended service life. The system is equipped with anti-cavitation, anti-shock, and a cooling system to ensure the hydraulic motors last longer. A power-shift feature allows for a high spin-off speed, facilitating efficient soil discharge. With three operational and spinoff speeds, the rotary is optimized for both high torque and rapid speeds. The operator can easily monitor torque via the hydraulic measurement display in the cabin.

Cab:

The cab of the EK125 is designed with the operator’s comfort and safety in mind, featuring an AM/FM Radio, air conditioning, heating, and ROPS certification with top protection. An LCD monitor connects to the engine and hydraulics computer, providing a comprehensive diagnostic system. The CZM Canbus System for Drilling Monitoring, complete with auto functions, further enhances drilling precision and efficiency.
