Base:

At its core, the EK250 is powered by the new Cat 340 Next Gen, equipped with a fuel-efficient Tier 4 Final C9.1 ACERT engine. This setup ensures that the rig operates with maximum efficiency while minimizing environmental impact. Additionally, the inclusion of CAT Vision Link allows for seamless online monitoring of machine operations and maintenance, enabling management to stay informed and proactive.

Undercarriage:

The EK250’s undercarriage is a Caterpillar variable undercarriage VH5000/4300/800, reinforced with an H style frame that provides a solid foundation for the rig, ensuring stability and adaptability across various drilling conditions.

Mast:

A reinforced mast constructed from high resistance steel Weldox 700 gives the EK250 the structural integrity required for demanding drilling tasks.

Main Winch:

The main winch system is designed with a special groove to enhance cable life through improved winding. It includes a press-roller and features dual gears that balance high speed with significant pulling force. The winch operates with automatic gear shifting for smooth, high-production drilling and includes an automatic down-the-hole winch stop. A free-falling winch function during crowd operations, coupled with hydraulic and mechanical brakes, ensures safety and control. The cabin displays hydraulic measurements of pulling force, keeping the operator fully informed.

Rotary:

The EK250’s rotary is engineered for durability, incorporating two slewing bearings at the top and bottom, along with a sturdy pinion and main gear. It houses two groups of Hydraulic Motor / Planetary Gears for exceptional torque and extended service life. The system is safeguarded with anti-cavitation, anti-shock, and a cooling system to enhance the longevity of hydraulic motors. A power-shift feature enables a high spin-off speed for efficient soil discharge. With three operational and spinoff speeds, the rotary is optimized for both high torque and rapid speeds. The operator can easily monitor torque via the hydraulic measurement display in the cabin.

Cab:

The operator’s cab is designed with comfort and safety as priorities, featuring an AM/FM Radio, air conditioning, heating, and ROPS certification with top protection. An LCD monitor connects to the engine and hydraulics computer, providing a comprehensive diagnostic system. The CZM Canbus System for Drilling Monitoring, complete with auto functions, further enhances drilling precision and efficiency.
