The rig is equipped with a radio remote control, enhancing safety and allowing for fast operation. Operators have the flexibility to execute operations from the remote control or within the comfort of the cab, which is equipped with modern amenities and safety features.

At the heart of the EK90 is the new Cat 323 Next Gen base, powered by a fuel-efficient Tier 4 Final C7.1 ACERT engine. The inclusion of CAT Vision Link technology enables management to monitor machine operations and maintenance data online, ensuring that the rig is always performing at its best.
The undercarriage is a Caterpillar variable undercarriage VH4830/3675/600 with a reinforced frame in an H style, providing a stable and durable platform for the rig.

The mast of the EK90 is made from high resistance steel Weldox 700 and features an 11ft mast slide, allowing for significant travel and flexibility during drilling operations.

The crowd/pull back winch is built with a high resistance Tinken 4 link chain and two gears for high speed and pulling force. It includes automatic gear shifting for smooth operation and high productivity, as well as hydraulic and mechanical brakes. The pulling force is hydraulically measured and displayed in the cab for the operator’s convenience.

Clamps are available in two sizes, 18in and 24in, providing options for securing different sizes of drilling tools.

The rotary unit is robustly designed with two tapered roller bearings, robust pinions, and main gear. It features four groups of high-pressure, two-speed orbital motors for high torque and longevity. The anti-cavitation and anti-shock features protect the hydraulic motors, extending their service life. With four operation speeds, automatic gear shifting, a spring shock absorber, air swivel, and rotary side shift, the rotary unit is built for high torque, high speeds, and seamless operation. The torque is hydraulically measured and displayed in the cabin for the operator.
The cab of the EK90 provides a comfortable and safe environment for the operator, with an AM/FM radio, air conditioning/heating, ROPS cab & top protection, and an LCD monitor for the engine and hydraulics computer with a diagnostic system. The CZM Canbus System for drilling monitoring includes auto functions and remote control, ensuring that the operator has all the necessary tools for efficient and precise drilling operations.
