Jeffrey Machine Tool 36″ Multi-Purpose Auger

The Jeffrey Machine 36″ Multi-Purpose Auger is a robust and adaptable tool designed for a variety of drilling applications. It is part of a range that includes diameters from 16 inches up to 144 inches, with the flexibility to accommodate smaller or larger custom sizes based on the specifications of the Kelly box.

Product and Technical Information

This auger is classified as a Type 6 and offers different cutting options to suit various ground conditions: DC/DF (Dirt Cutting/Double Flight), DC/SF (Dirt Cutting/Single Flight), and SC/SF (Soil Cutting/Single Flight). The Kelly boxes are tailored to customer specifications, ensuring compatibility and efficiency.

The center shaft of the auger comes in outer diameters ranging from 4 inches to 12 inches, with a solid shaft option available for select sizes. The flight thickness is offered in 1 inch to 2 inches, with all flight inside diameters beveled to enhance weld penetration. For augers 30 inches in diameter or larger, laminate flight is provided for increased strength and longevity.

Wear protection is addressed with wear pads sized at 2 inches by 3 inches by ½ inch (part number 39302), which help to prolong the auger’s service life.

For the wear items, the auger can be fitted with multi-purpose rock wear parts. The rock option includes a B47K19LK80-H tooth (part number 30182), a 38mm Tri-holder (part number 32064), and an RP-4 Machined Pilot (part number 40285) for effective drilling in rocky conditions.

The dirt option features teeth such as the BFZ 113×70/D (part number 34241) for dirt and the BFZ 100×70/2 (part number 34172) for carbide, both utilizing the same 38mm Tri-holder. The pilot for dirt drilling is a 4-inch square JM 8-inch Dirt Pilot (part number 40260), designed for stability and precision.

In summary, the Jeffrey Machine 36″ Multi-Purpose Auger is a highly customizable tool that can be configured to meet the specific needs of various drilling projects, ensuring high performance and durability in diverse soil and rock conditions.
